Aayush & Ayushi Prewedding Shoot at a beach in Mahabalipuram, India

Aayush & Ayushi both based out of Chennai, India, found us through Instagram and a friend of Aayush who recommended us. We got chatting and eventually were hired to document this beautiful couple’s wedding celebrations in Chennai. Here are few things that we discovered through are super fun journey with these two.

ANISH & NOOPUR - A little about both of you (how did you both meet, what do you do)

AAYUSHI & AAYUSH- Since it’s an arranged marriage, our families got us together! Although we knew each other as acquaintances. We met through a mutual family friend at a cafe and a few conversations later, we were already hitting it off over coffee and cheesecake! We took some time, we hung out, got to know each other a little more, made a few pacts, spoke about the future and eventually fell in love. 

Plot twist, our families got involved later, but we faced a few hiccups in the process however we never gave up and were sure of each other. After all the toils and turns in our lives, it took us sometime to be able to convince my parents that I was ready to see my future with him. And Phew! After a lot of agreements and disagreements we finally managed to take things forward! 

I started my own footwear brand which is vegan called PASSAGE two years ago! I’m also involved in my family business which deals in gold and diamonds! 

ANISH & NOOPUR- Was there a formal proposal, if yes, kindly share details with us

AAYUSHI & AAYUSH- Our journey began in August 2019 where we first met at a cafe. This continued for a while and we felt the connection. Talking about the proposal we never really felt the need to have a formal proposal as we could feel the magic seamlessly. 

Nevertheless during our pre wedding photoshoot in Pondi, Aayush surprised me with an unplanned proposal at the rock beach and I felt truly emotional as it was unexpected and spontaneous. This is what describes us "spontaneity"

ANISH & NOOPUR- Tell us about your pre-wedding shoot experience i.e. any particular theme you followed, any challenge you faced, your look for the shoot, any other highlights you’d like to share .

AAYUSHI & AAYUSH- Due to COVID, we couldn’t travel to the destination we had in mind because of obvious reasons. So we chose the closest most beautiful place in the same city which was Pondicherry. At first, I was really hesitant, but after doing a tad bit of research, I realised the place didn’t matter to me as much as the company I was with.

We then decided on a Beachy vibe, since pondicherry was on coastals. Noopur & Anish helped us choose the theme, our outfits, location & vibe for the shoot. They were super confident about everything we had planned. 

Honestly, on the first day of the shoot I had no idea what was going to happen.

I had mixed feelings on how cliche our pre wedding shoot would turn out to be like every other couple. I’d always make fun of other  couples getting their pre wedding shoot but here I was doing one myself.

Somehow, Noopur and Anish made us feel really comfortable, they told us that the entire idea of this is to have ‘fun’ 

ANISH & NOOPUR- What was the most fun/special part of the pre-wedding shoot experience for both of you 

AAYUSHI & AAYUSH- I was shocked when I saw aayush down on his knees with a ring in his hand out of nowhere while we were shooting. It was the best feeling ever. I would never have imagined Aayush actually proposing me in the middle of the sea on the rocks and his way of doing things has always been unique and special. 

He generally is very camera shy and gets very awkward while taking pictures but he went out of his way and did everything I wanted. 

ANISH & NOOPUR- When and where are you getting married? Tell us a little about the wedding planning process

AAYUSHI & AAYUSH- We got married in Chennai (ITC welcom hotel, ECR) on 11th December, 2020. If not for COVID, our wedding was supposed to happen In Udaipur (our dream destination). 

ANISH & NOOPUR- Experience with Happy Flashbacks 

AAYUSHI & AAYUSH- Our experience with Happy Flashback was nothing short of seamless. We stumbled upon them on social media, while shortlisting our wedding photographer. We were quite convinced with the price they quoted us for the entire package which included a Pre wedding shoot well. Our initial planning started off while discussing our Pre wedding shoot locations, Noopur and Anish recommended us offbeat destinations, to do our shoot but thank you corona we ended up in Pondicherry, close to home and  that was the only feasible option during that time. From the moment I spoke to nupoor on the phone, I knew she was the one! ( Leo’s get along, I mean!) She seemed very welcoming, and I knew Anish & Noopur, the couple behind this company would  be a perfect fit for us. 

Pre Wedding and wedding shoots are a strenuous task, for both the photographer and the couple but we were literally asked to take a breather and  just be organic & enjoy the entire  process and be present in the moment. We were completely blown away when the Pre wedding sneak peak was out! We knew we made the right choice. 

We had so much going on during the wedding, but the entire team made sure to capture every single detail. They didn’t paint themselves any big! But the quality of their work speaks for itself. From understanding us as a couple & how our journey started to capturing glimpses of our nervous self on our big day, I must say! It was a wholesome and a heartwarming experience.
